La Morra – Barolo DOCG – Vintage 2024, 2025

The Territory

La Morra is the largest and most productive municipality in the entire Barolo DOCG appellation. Situated on the western slope of the production area, its hills are characterised by high altitudes (up to 500 metres) with soils that are geologically younger than those on the eastern side. The soil consists mainly of Sant’Agata Fossili marls, a mixture of blue clays, limestone, and a high proportion of silt and fine sand. This softness of these soils is directly reflected in the wine’s delicacy and softer, less angular character, resulting in a Barolo that represents the ultimate expression of elegance, immediacy and aromatic finesse, enjoyable from a young age, while also offering excellent ageing potential.
