We’re moving on to barrel number six, which is really fascinating to taste in this context of four wines. Once again, the four wines from the lower lying slopes of the Gustava vineyard all south to south-west facing exposures. Here you can see immediately there’s a little bit more colour and also a little bit more tannin and acid in the perception of the wine. Again, these are young wines. You know, I don’t have the crystal ball to see how they’re going to turn out when they’re, when they’re fully finished. But I very much like the energy here. This is the wine that’s still coming together. But again, that’s really what I would expect to see in this embryonic wine. It’s nine months old. Young Nebbiolo is like this. It’s a little bit brawny and muscular, but at the same time, there’s something really intriguing about the wine and what it has to offer. It’s a wine that really invites that second and third taste, and that’s always really interesting to me.
