Continuation of project for the restoration and valorisation of the historic Villa Arconati.

35.000 €

For years, ARF has been operating by promoting cultural initiatives, national and international relations and links, as well as the important project for the restoration of the Villa Arconati, institutional headquarters of the Foundation, and its garden. Its objective is not only to restore this heritage to the community, but to valorise today, in a contemporary and international perspective, its identity as a place of Architecture and the Arts, which in the past was known as the “Versailles of Milan”. The restoration works continue with the aim of giving new life to forgotten areas of the Villa, including the Cantinone, a place of particular charm, unchanged over the centuries, which after the renovation will be open to the public and will host cultural activities and events promoting food and wine for the benefit of an area that is very committed to such matters.

Traces of Art. Activities for schools, young people, adults, teachers, families and people with disabilities.
Organised by the Education Department of the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo.

72.000 €

The Education Department of the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo plans and carries out activities for schools, young people, adults, teachers, families and people with disabilities. The cornerstone of its thinking and methodological approach is that of using the interpretation of a work as a starting point for an independent re-elaboration of its contents, and also listening to the needs of the public, starting with children in school or family situations. The Education Department is proposing an educational project that targets primary schools in the Guarene area, to promote contemporary culture and make children and their families aware of caring for heritage and safeguarding the environment. The idea is to work on the installations in the art park, providing the opportunity for 10 primary school classes from Guarene and Vaccheria to take part in a workshop on contemporary art, which will culminate in a final educational exhibition at Palazzo Re Rebaudengo. The overall objective of the project is to promote the protection and conscious use of the local area through contemporary art, respecting the landscape, the environment as a whole and culture. The active involvement of youth as well as younger girls and boys is intended to strengthen relationships with the community and encourage the civic participation in cultural life.

The Castello di Rivoli Museo d’Arte Contemporanea is an Italian museum dedicated to contemporary art. It is located in the Rivoli Castle, in the province of Turin.

The mission of Castello di Rivoli Museo d’Arte Contemporanea is to engage local and international audiences in a deeper understanding of our present times through art and culture, while contributing to the social development of its surrounding region.

35.000 €

The first museum devoted to contemporary art in Italy, Castello di Rivoli is a beacon for the art world. Since it opened in 1984, it has continuously presented innovative exhibitions and radical art performances, while remaining sensitive to the unique Baroque castle that hosts it. Designed in 1718 by Filippo Juvarra, the castle is a constant source of inspiration for artists. Its architecture and history inspire the creation of new works conceived specifically for the Museum’s Permanent Collection. While conserving and displaying works of art is a central mission of Castello di Rivoli, this represents only a part of the activities that make it a cutting-edge contemporary art museum for the 21st century. A lively center for experimentation, activities take place both in its physical spaces and online, through its website and on other digital platforms, promoting the work of artists from all generations, countries, and cultural backgrounds. An identity formed out of encounters and openness requires the constant re-inventing of oneself, in line with the rapid and profound changes in society. To this end, one of the distinctive features of Castello di Rivoli is its commitment to multiple fields and disciplines. The Museum frequently collaborates with other local cultural institutions, hosting theatrical performances, concerts, film and video festivals as well as seminars and conferences. It also programs symposia and roundtables dedicated to other fields, from literature, philosophy, and music, through science, physics, and conservation. By operating across Piedmont, in dialog with numerous Italian and international museums, with its Curatorial Department, Education Department, Research Institute, Library, Archives, and Multimedia Center, Castello di Rivoli is a key center of artistic culture.

Promoting the social inclusion of people in difficulty.

The average time that a person waits for the diagnostic process to begin at the ASL’s Paediatric Neuropsychiatry (NPI) services can be up to 1.5 years. This delay compromises early diagnosis and timely intervention, which are crucial in preventing or modifying the development of neuromotor, cognitive and psychological disabilities. The CPD Diagnostic Centre seeks to address this need by offering priority access to families in impoverished conditions. The project aims to build customised programmes for each child, guiding families towards specific supports and forming partnerships with schools and public and private local services. The centre’s objective is to complete each process within 6 months, through anamnesis, assessment interviews conducted by a multidisciplinary team, specialised care and orientation. The direct beneficiaries are children with neurodevelopmental disorders, particularly those from families in economic difficulty. In the first year, the Diagnostic Centre intends to support at least 100 children free of charge.

Intended for students in secondary schools in Turin, the project involves editorial activities held in libraries by journalists from the newspaper La Stampa, with the aim of improving Information Literacy skills. The objectives of the project are:

  • Fighting disinformation: the project aims to provide tools with which to verify information, particularly relevant in a world dominated by social media and artificial intelligence.

Mother’s Choice is a charity established in Hong Kong in 1987 to support children without families and pregnant adolescents.

Support project for pregnant teenagers in Hong Kong.

40.000 €

In 1986, a series of newspaper articles reported on the alarming number of teenage pregnancies in Hong Kong. This prompted Gary and Helen Stephens and Ranjan and Phyllis Marwah to set up Mother’s Choice. With their hearts devoted to service, love for the city of Hong Kong and the support of many in the community, they opened the doors to Mother’s Choice in 1987. The passion to provide loving, non-judgmental support to the many pregnant teenagers who had no one to turn to has been broadened to provide educational care for children without families and to be a voice of help for them. The vision of Mother’s Choice is bold, but by working together it can be achieved.
