We’re moving on to barrel number eight. And what I like about this wine is its total sense of balance and harmony within the style of the year. So, in some of the wines in this series, the aromatics are more prevalent. Other wines are more marked by acidity and tannin. This is a wine where all of the elements are sort of more in balance. You don’t really notice anything in particular. Dark, dark reddish fruit, dried flowers, that kind of orange peel note that is, again, typical of the vintage and have a minty pine note on the finish and a really nice balance. Again, nervy young Barolo in barrel. All about potential here. It’ll be really interesting to see where this ends up in the bottle.
