Wine number seven: classic Nebbiolo nose, that rose petal, a little bit of melted road tar, dried orange peel, kind of spicy Amaro herbs*. You can see from the colour of the wine that it’s a little bit of a lighter wine, with a balance more tilted towards aromatics than fruit or structure. Again, this is an ethereal wine, very much in line with the style of the 2024 vintage. We’ll see how it turns out in bottle. Right now, though, what I’m finding is really the more delicate, understated side of Nebbiolo.
