It’s amazing to me how Nebbiolo can be such an expressive grape, how it can have so many shades of nuance. We’ve tasted 13 wines until now. This is barrel number 14, but this wine is really unique in a lot of aspects. It has really strong balsamic inflections. So, what I mean by that is signatures of things like pine, menthol, cloves, it’s very spiced. That pairs beautifully with a darker expression of fruit. There’s a fair expression of tan and an energy in this young wine. So, it’s still coming together. But this is a really singular barrel. I mean, it’s really quite amazing how one vineyard can give so many different shows, so many different facets of its expression. But that is really one of the things that makes Nebbiolo such a unique grape in the world. There’s a lot to explore here, and that really beautiful finish with a lot of high tone notes that really finishes on the upper end of the palate. This is a really pretty and expressive wine.
