I was asked a little while ago, which is my favourite wine in this flight, and it might very well be barrel number ten. It has this beautiful dark fruit, wonderfully filled out shoulders, power, energy. There’s just a wonderful sense of completeness here. The fruit is a little bit darker than in some of the other wines in this vintage. The wine has kind of a raw energy, a sort of stallion. It’s not fully formed. Some of the wines in this tasting are a little bit easier to deal with. This wine is a wine that demands a lot from the taster. But that’s what I love in really beautiful wines. And so, the barrel number ten has a lot going for it. I love it. Again, that sort of virile, almost sombre personality and the fact that it’s not a wine that gives you everything immediately. So, this would be another fascinating wine to follow in its evolution. But there’s just an awful lot going on in this, in this wine right now. So that’s wine number ten.
